At Spice Deli we are a team of spice-obsessed foodies who dreamt of a space where spices and food came together.  Our story is an organic one, we have our roots in India, but have lived in London for over 20 years and eaten our way all over the world. Our food has been influenced by our Indian heritage but also by the spices of the Middle East and South East Asia.

Spice Deli comprises of Kim Wilshaw, previously a psychotherapist and now a professionally trained chef, and her husband Tarun Chandani, accountant by training and food lover!  Not so long ago Kim was teaching cooking classes ’Spices for my Sweets’ to mothers who wanted to incorporate spices and flavours into their littles one’s meals from 6 months old. She also taught Indian cooking classes ‘A Taste of Something Spicy’ for busy mothers. When the time was right, they decided to quit their 9-5 jobs and begin their food adventure.

We make our own chai mix for our masala tea, we knead turmeric into our brioche buns, drizzle kashmiri chilli in our butter over our poached eggs, infuse jaggery into our ice cream, rub fennel into our popular smoked streaky bacon, toast coconut for our salads, use cardamom and cinnamon in our sticky buns and so on and so forth. We are absolutely smitten with spices!

We pride ourselves on creating quality food and products. Since we started in 2016, we have run supper clubs, catered at private parties & corporate events, supplied salads to artisanal coffee shops and produced sweet and savoury treats.
